Hacienda Pinilla, located on Costa Rica's North Pacific Coast is just a
short drive from Reserve Conchal. The recently completed 18 hole 7, 274-yard
championship links style Hacienda Pinilla Golf & Country Club, designed by
Mike Young.
This 7,500-yard, par 72 masterpiece by Mike Young, who has designed some of
the finest golf courses in the southern United States. His characteristic
emphasis on detail led him to build a course where each hole was designed to
conform to the slopes and contours of the natural landscape of Hacienda
Pinilla. The frequent risk/reward situations offer different challenges
every time you play and tropical landscape trees represent natural
obstacles.
This tropical dry forest golf course conforms to the original landscape.
It’s a secluded beach lovers course with three miles of pristine beaches
along the property and the most prestigious gated community in the Pacific
Coast.
This magnificent golf course rewards golfers with a most enjoyable round of
exciting golf. The 3 different seasons in Costa Rica (wind, rain, dry) makes
the course play different and challenging each time you play.
The course is a coastal layout with wide, open fairways and the prevailing
winds come into play on just about every hole. The bump and run is
recommended for most approach shots as the greens are hard and fast. A truly
distinguishing characteristic of Hacienda Pinilla is the many well located
pot bunkers that are cleverly placed around most greens. It is challenging
and will reward conservative play more often than not.
One of the few courses in the world facing the sea and to have "Tif Eagle
Turf" on the greens, golfing here is truly an incredible experience. As a
reward for successful approach shots, the Tif Eagle greens guarantee each
putt a consistently smooth ride right down to the center of the hole.
The course is infinitely playable, where six sets of tees are set up at the
beginning of each hole to account for all levels of players. However, dozens
of links-style bunkers present attractive and challenging obstacles.
With a complete clubhouse, driving range, putting green and a seasoned pro
who offers tips and lessons, this is the type of course you’ll want to call
your own. At Hacienda Pinilla, golfers have a course that offers picturesque
scenery, immaculate conditions, frequent glimpses of exotic wildlife, and
the inviting El Corral Turn house.
