The Los Delfines golf course is an exciting challenge, with lakes and
bunkers of white sand. The Course has a pro shop, golf carts and equipment,
classes, practice area and putting green available. Its modern design makes
it one of the most advanced golf courses in Costa Rica.
You can enjoy playing golf in an unbelievable beautiful setting, in the
midst of incomparable tropical scenery of Costa Rica.
Los Delfines golf consists of nine intriguing holes that you will enjoy
playing twice. The course measures at 6264 yards from the back tees with a
rating of 72.8. and has recently been renovated.
Los Delfines Golf & Country Club is located next to an exclusive bay on the
edge of the Pacific Ocean, at the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. With the golf
course just a short steps away from a breathtaking beach that stretches for
four miles around the bay. This region of Costa Rica keeps its lush, green,
jungle scenery long into the dry season and this golf course reaps the
benefits. The greens and fairways are some of the best in Costa Rica. Some
of the most amazing scenery can be seen here with abundant wildlife and a
large community of 72 Scarlet Macaws nesting throughout the course.
A round begins on a 337-yard par-4 that requires a driver or 3 wood to an
open fairway, followed by a mid- or short iron to the sloping pear shaped
green, steering clear of the front bunker, for par or a birdie. The longest
hole is the eighth, a par 5 472 yarder through trees, requiring positioning
from the tee, a mid or short iron layup, minding water right and left to
make the two level green approachable, if well guarded, birdie if you can.
The ninth, a 149-yard par 3, requires good work from the tee followed by a
mid or short iron to the uphill green, though bunkers right and left require
accuracy to achieve par.
